Raffi Ahmad Hopes Danantara Will Boost National Economic Growth
Jakarta - Artist and Special Envoy of the President for Youth Development and Arts, Raffi Ahmad, expressed his hopes that the recently launched Investment Management Agency (BPI) Daya Anagata Nusantara, or Danantara, will significantly propel Indonesia's economic growth. This initiative was inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace on Monday, February 24, 2025.
In a statement shared on his social media, Raffi Ahmad noted, "It is time for Indonesia to take bold steps by building the nation’s investment power through Danantara. This is expected to drive national economic growth without relying on foreign capital."
Raffi acknowledged that the launch of Danantara represents a proactive effort by the government to establish Indonesia as a nation with strong economic resilience in the future.
"Not only is it a brave move, but it also requires a well-organized, transparent, and accountable management system. With the full support of the Indonesian people as primary stakeholders, Danantara can lead Indonesia to become a nation with robust national resilience," he added.
Moreover, Raffi urged the public to support and monitor this new government project. "Let us work together to oversee and support Danantara's performance so that it can provide tangible benefits for the economy and the welfare of the Indonesian people," he asserted.
Importance of Danantara
Danantara is seen as a crucial step towards establishing Indonesia’s self-sufficient investment landscape. By positioning itself to generate investments domestically, Danantara aims to reduce dependency on foreign financial inflows.
Future Prospects
As Indonesia endeavors to improve its economic standing, the successful implementation and management of Danantara will be pivotal in achieving long-term economic stability and growth.
