Associa Partners with Hiring Our Heroes to Support Veteran Employment Opportunities
In honor of Veterans Day, Associa, the leading firm in community management, has officially partnered with the esteemed non-profit organization Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) to foster career prospects for veterans and their spouses. Associa's commitment to veteran employment is exemplified by its Client Shared Services Center (CSSC), which will host 12-week Corporate Fellowship Programs specifically curated for transitioning military service members who are preparing to rejoin civilian life.
Creating Pathways for Veterans
The partnership with HOH allows Associa to provide mentorship and training to the fellows, equipping them with the necessary skills and guidance for a seamless transition to the civilian job market. The aim is to ensure that these fellows have a chance at full-time roles within Associa upon completing their fellowships.
Hiring Our Heroes Impact
Hiring Our Heroes has played a pivotal role in the community since 2011, with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation initiating the program to combat the high unemployment rates among veterans. Through its efforts, HOH has notably placed over 8,000 service members in fellowships, with an impressive 87% receiving post-fellowship job offers in 2022 alone. The skillsets of these placed individuals span across various domains, such as human resources, IT, and business development.
Commitment to Veteran Success
Associa emphasizes the value of the contributions made by veterans and strives to ensure their successful career development post-service. In alignment with this, Joe Garza, Associa's Senior Vice President of Client Services, has expressed a deep pride in this partnership and the company’s ongoing efforts to expand veteran support throughout the organization.
