Old Port Advisors Reduces Stake in Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets ETF

On October 30, 2024, it was reported that Old Port Advisors has decreased its investment in the Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets ETF (NYSEARCA:VWO) by 4.6% in the third quarter of the year, based on its recent 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. After selling 277 shares, the firm now holds a total of 5,709 shares in the ETF, which were valued at approximately $273,000 at the end of the latest quarter.

Additionally, other institutional investors have also made adjustments to their holdings in the Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets ETF. Gainplan LLC increased its position by 3.7%, now owning 56,895 shares worth about $2,490,000 after adding 2,055 shares during the third quarter. Another firm, Exchange Traded Concepts LLC, entered the ETF market by purchasing new shares valued around $201,000.

NorthCrest Asset Management LLC saw a significant increase of 37.3% in its stake during the second quarter, bringing its total to 19,429 shares valued at $850,000 after acquiring an additional 5,276 shares. In the third quarter, Riversedge Advisors LLC increased its holdings by 1.6%, now possessing 285,134 shares valued at approximately $13,644,000 following a purchase of 4,525 shares. Lastly, Apella Capital LLC also lifted its holdings by 6.9%, owning 1,039,405 shares valued at $51,149,000 after adding 67,127 shares.

The Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets ETF began trading at $47.01 on Wednesday. Over the past year, the ETF reached a low of $37.66 and a high of $49.57. Its fifty-day moving average stands at $46.22, while the 200-day moving average is at $44.53. Currently, the ETF holds a market capitalization of $85.08 billion, a price-to-earnings ratio of 11.50, and a beta of 0.80.
